"He was the one who bent the rules a little... always within boundaries, but always fun, like the time he and I were the only ones on the golf course, racing the cart and eating M&M's." --Little Brother

Programs in Brief

  • The core Big Brothers Big Sisters One-to-one Mentoring Program has a well documented record of success, guiding children to make better choices in school and life and enhancing the lives of dedicated volunteers.
  • The award-winning CBBBS Deaf/Hard of Hearing program matches deaf or hard of hearing youth with adults who also have hearing loss or are fluent in American sign language and familiar with the deaf community.
  • Mentoring Children of Promise is a program for children of prisoners, who are the invisible, unintended consequence of crime and the most marginalized segment of our society.
  • The CBBBS Northwest Pasadena Mentoring Center sponsored by the Jack in the Box Foundation offers after-school mentoring and tutoring to children from an economically challenged, predominantly Spanish-speaking community.
  • The High School Bigs matches trained high school students with elementary students in one-to-one matches at school and after-school sites.

Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters serves volunteers and youth from all cultural, economic and religious backgrounds, reflecting the diverse fabric of our community.
