American Eagle Outfitters Bowls For Kids’ Sake
We know that we’ve already told you about our most fantastic event, Bowl For Kids’ Sake on April 25th at Lucky Strikes in Hollywood. But we really need to tell you about American Eagle Outfitters. You’ve probably familiar with their stores throughout LA County. Did you know they are a huge supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters and this year, teams of employees across Los Angeles County will be out Bowling For Kids’ Sake. And they will all be sponsored by the American Eagle Foundation. They want to join all of you in having a great day of fun and games while helping your most favorite cause ... us. We figure you’ll recognize their teams by those nice outfits (from you know where) they’ll all be wearing while rolling balls down the lane and scattering those pins to raise money to help out kids in need. So if you happen to notice an American Eagle Outfitters employee wandering around wearing bowling shoes, shake their hand and give them a BIG hearty “thank you."
Big Brothers Big Sisters Benefits from Rent-A-Center Fund-Raiser
Donations Go to Local Communities

PLANO, TEXAS, (March 12, 2009) – From March 13 through April 11, customers and area residents can visit their neighboring Rent-A-Center to donate one dollar and sign a colorful spring egg to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Rent-A-Center’s more than 3,000 stores in the United States and Puerto Rico participate in the yearly fund-raiser.

“Our partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters means a lot to our co-workers who go all out year after year to make this fund-raiser a success,” said Mark Speese, chairman and CEO of Rent-A-Center. “We gratefully acknowledge the support of our customers and the communities where we have stores to help Big Brothers Big Sisters.”

Contributions collected by Rent-A-Center stores are matched dollar for dollar up to $100,000 by the company. Since the fund-raising program began in 2003, Rent-A-Center has given the maximum $100,000 match each year and has donated a total of $1.52 million to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Some Rent-A-Center stores will be hosting Big Brothers Big Sisters groups that will give out information about the program.

“We are grateful that Rent-A-Center is partnering with us to make a difference in the lives of children in so many communities,” said Big Brothers Big Sisters of America President and Chief Executive Officer Judy Vredenburgh. “Partnerships with corporate citizens, schools, communities and of course, families, are necessary to support structured long-term mentoring so that we can continue to improve the odds for some of America’s most vulnerable children.”

Rent-A-Center (NASDAQ: RCII), headquartered in Plano, Texas, operates more than 3,000 stores in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada with a focus on home furnishings and financial services. The company employs approximately 18,800 co-workers. For more information about Rent-A-Center and its RACommunity programs, visit www.rentacenter.com.
